Last week, I started work on a very basic DC Motor Controller. It’s a really simple circuit that just turns voltage on and off, but very quickly (like about 1000 times a second..)
By varying the time off vs time on of the circuit, a Light Emitting Diode (LED) can be dimmed, or a DC motor can very its speed.
This week at Electronics Night, I put the potentiometer into an enclosure and rigged up multiple red LEDs AND a small DC motor. Kinda fun to have light and motor happening at the same time, dependent on just how I turn a knob!
