Cow Car

IMG_8871 The “Cow Car” is a 2012 Mitsubishi iMIEV electric car. The cow spot pattern is home-made, using a small computer-controlled vinyl-cutter. It is patterned after the “Moo Moo Edition”. That was a collectible scale model of this Mitsubishi. Besides stock color schemes, the Japanese version of this car also had vinyl graphics available from an official partner of Mitsubishi. As far as I know, nobody EVER had this vinyl pattern made for their car. I’ve seen photos of real car with other graphics (including Hello Kitty!) but not the Moo Moo Edition.

As far as I know, this is the ONLY Mitsubishi iMiEV in this color combination. Anyone else would probably be too embarrassed to have it. On the other hand, it makes me smile, and people routinely smile and wave while I am out and about in this car.

For more on this, you probably want to read the full story. This isn’t the first cow car I’ve made:

Hey Ben! Loved the cow print decal project. Do you take orders? I’d love to join my i-MiEV into the cow car club lol. Keep up the good work!

Hi Carson!
Glad you liked my Moo-Moo Edition upgrade to my white Mitsubishi iMiEV.
I don’t specifically take orders for that graphics package, but I have the files saved. I could make a set of graphics, but frankly, it’s a fair amount of work.
I’ll send you an e-mail to talk more about it.

Hi Ben,

I followed your video on your Moo horn to the T (including the identical amp.). Unfortunately, my sound is really low to be considered a horn. Any suggestions on what could be wrong.
I can hear it on my computer and on my headset, but not on the car.

Thank you in advance,

Carlos

Make sure your amp is turned up!
There’s a knob on there that controls the output. Mine was VERY loud when turned up all the way. I needed to make sure it was turned down a bit.
