It wouldn’t be street legal under other circumstances, but the Milwaukee MakerSpace’s POT O’ GOLD will head down the streets of Milwaukee, Wisconsin for the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
MakerSpace members have already built a “universal float platform” out of scrap steel and salvaged electric wheelchair motors. Then, they built a wood frame in the shape of a large “Pot”.
This past Tuesday, members focused on painting the pot and cutting and decorating “gold coins”.
Here’s video of the evenings activities:
Once the paint had dried, a member assembled the pot onto the base, and filled in the top with the coins.
Not bad for something made of almost all salvaged materials. That and not a drop of gasoline to boot!
