Working on the Flooded i-Miev

by Ben N on February 20, 2013

Here’s what I’ve been doing the last couple days on the car. I was able to disconnect the power cables, but the water that leaked out certainly didn’t make me feel very good about the project. I was able to remove the battery pack from the car, and drag it out into the driveway, where I could disassemble the pack and sea what was inside. (I mean SEE what was inside – not a Freudian Slip at all!!)

The videos will give you a good sense of where the project is right now.

Thank you so much for doing all of this. It’s fantastic. I own an i-MiEV, i’ve been dying to know what the pack looks like, you’ve really helped out the whole i-MiEV community by doing this. It looks like cold, dirty work. You’re a hero. I’d buy you a beer if I could. 🙂

Thanks again and please keep documenting your results. This is an amazing resource.

Hey, thank you! Getting feedback on these sorts of projects helps keep me going! Next time you are in south-eastern Wisconsin, you can come buy me that beer!
